1. Information We Collect

When you purchase a report from AstroPulse, we collect the following personal information:

• Identity information: Your full name
• Birth data: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (city, latitude, longitude). This information is essential for generating your astrological chart and cannot be omitted.
• Contact information: Your email address, used solely to deliver your report
• Payment information: Processed entirely by Razorpay. AstroPulse does not store your card details, UPI credentials, or any payment instrument data.
• Report preferences: Language selection (English or Hindi), and for Education reports, additional context including current class, stream, and the family question submitted.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Generating your personalised astrological report using your birth data
• Delivering your report PDF to the email address you provided
• Processing payment through Razorpay and maintaining transaction records as required by law
• Responding to support queries you initiate with us

We do not use your birth data, name, or email for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored securely on our servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in India. Report files are stored in Supabase cloud storage with access-controlled signed URLs that expire after 7 days.

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and apply access controls to limit who within our system can access personal data. Birth data used for report generation is retained to allow re-delivery of reports if technically required.

4. Third-Party Services

AstroPulse uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Razorpay — Payment processing. Razorpay handles all payment data and is PCI-DSS compliant.
• Zeptomail (Zoho) — Transactional email delivery for report delivery.
• Supabase — Database and file storage for report PDFs.
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and security services.
• Google Maps API — Place of birth autocomplete on order forms. Google's privacy policy applies to this interaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Report PDF files are accessible via download link for 7 days after delivery. Personal data associated with completed orders is retained for a minimum of 5 years for financial record-keeping compliance under Indian law.

You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@astropulse.in. Note that deletion of transaction records may not be possible where legal retention requirements apply.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent

7. Cookies

AstroPulse uses minimal cookies necessary for site functionality — specifically session management and payment processing. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

AstroPulse services are not directed at children under the age of 13. For Education and Career Guidance Reports, the report is purchased by a parent or guardian on behalf of a student. The birth data submitted belongs to the student but the account and purchase are made by the adult.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
